Deductive reasoning makes set of rules and known facts to deduce further knowledge. For example, if you know that grass is green and a field is full of grass, you may deduce that a field will be green. Deductive reasoning is usually limited to what is definitely known, as opposed to other forms of reasoning, such as induction and abduction, which may reason from incomplete knowledege.
